Dr Gemma Phipps D.C, BSc (Hons), BSc (Hons), M.R.C.C - Clinic Director
I qualified as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan in 2008. I went on to study at Postgraduate level gaining a PGCert in Clinical Chiropractic. Prior to studying for my Chiropractic degree I completed a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biological Sciences, Physiology and Pharmacology at Manchester Metropolitan University.
My interest in Chiropractic began after developing back pain due to poor posture whilst working for my local NHS Trust. I visited my local Chiropractic Clinic, and was so impressed by the treatment that I received and the results that I experienced, that I decided to retrain and become a Chiropractor.
In 2010 I completed my foundation level training in Acupuncture through the British Medical Acupuncture Society and in 2012 went on to complete further training in Electroacupuncture.
Outside of the practice I enjoy walking, yoga, pilates, watching films and relaxing at home with a good book.
Paula Uppal D.C, MChiro, BSc.
I studied chiropractic for 5 years at McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire.
I decided to retrain after witnessing the benefits of chiropractic care, when my mother was suffering with a very severe, acute episode of low back pain. I was drawn to the level of service and how generous the chiropractors were with their time when assessing and treating their patients.
Whilst studying for my Masters in Chiropractic I trained in dry needling, acupuncture, soft tissue release, kinesiology tapping, neuromuscular re-education techniques, functional muscle testing and the Epley manoeuvre.
Luke Griffiths D.C, BSc, MSc.
I have a huge passion for sports primarily swimming where I competed at a national level. Following an acute shoulder injury at an important time of my swimming life it was recommended that I should see a chiropractor. The chiropractor not only treated my injury but also looked into the source of the issue, this enabled further improvement and injury prevention not only in swimming but also in my day to day life. From that time I was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic, I have a motivated rive for overall patient well-being enabling me to give the best possible care for each and every individual.
I have a pleasant and friendly personality and I enjoy treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. I strive to help with pain relief and improve quality of life. Treatment involves diversified technique and myofascial work whilst looking into functional issues that may be the underlying cause of the patient’s pain.
I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth with a BSc Honours Degree in Human Sciences and a Master of Science in Chiropractic.
